Algoma’s work at Ashbridges Bay Treatment Plant included sandblasting the concrete walls and ceiling of the space. A Xypex crystalline technology product was applied to provide a permanent waterproofing and protection solution for the concrete walls and ceiling.
Algoma was contracted by Crosslinx Transit Solutions in North York, Ontario for a two-year waterproofing project that took place in phases over the project term. The project included applying a waterproofing membrane to the walls and floors of the underground subway station.
The Duffin Creek Wastewater treatment plant project involved sandblasting, gas proofing, waterproofing and coating the interior of wastewater digester tanks. This process involved sandblasting bare steel and interior digester lids and filling the gap between the structure wall and steel skirt with hot asphalt and rubber.
Algoma’s work at the Greater Toronto Airport Authority involved sandblasting and coating at the facility. Services included sandblasting of new concrete walls and floors, applying a fiber glass lining system to the walls as well as coating the floors in the glycol holding tanks with an epoxy layer.
